Our Services
Adult Hearing Testing
Adult hearing tests provide a baseline of how well you are hearing speech sounds in quiet. It is important to check your hearing every two years to ensure adequate stimulation of sounds to the brain in order to recognise the speech and environmental sounds around you.
Hearing Aids/Assistive Devices
Soundscape Audiology offers advanced hearing solutions with the latest technology at affordable prices. We provide a variety of hearing aids, including rechargeable models with Bluetooth connectivity. Our thorough assessments ensure the right fit for your needs, with a 30-day trial to ensure comfort and effectiveness. We offer health fund rebates and a range of assistive devices. Features like noise reduction, directional microphones, and speech enhancement help improve your listening experience and quality of life.
Wax Removal
Wax removal at Soundscape Audiology is a professional service to safely and effectively clear excess earwax, which can affect hearing. Using gentle techniques, our specialists ensure a comfortable experience, preventing ear blockages and improving auditory clarity. Regular wax removal supports better hearing health and overall ear care.
Children Hearing Testing
Paediatric testing at Soundscape Audiology focuses on assessing and diagnosing hearing concerns in children aged 5 and older. Our experienced audiologists use child-friendly methods and advanced tools, including play audiometry and speech audiometry, to evaluate hearing. Early detection is crucial for preventing speech, language, and academic delays.
Balance Testing
At Soundscape Audiology, we offer vestibular audiological assessments to evaluate inner ear function related to balance and vertigo concerns. These tests, including caloric testing, videonystagmography (VNG), and the vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) test. These assessments can help diagnose balance disorders like BPPV, Meniere's disease, and vestibular neuritis. Proper diagnosis leads to targeted treatments such as vestibular rehabilitation therapy. A referral from a GP, ENT, or neurologist is required for Medicare rebates.
Tinnitus Treatment
At Soundscape Audiology we provide tinnitus assessment and rehabilitation strategies. This involves a thorough evaluation to identify any known conditions that could cause tinnitus. Using tools like pitch matching and loudness discomfort tests, we determine the characteristics of the sound. Rehabilitation strategies include tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT), sound therapy, counseling, and hearing aids, aiming to reduce discomfort and improve your quality of life.
Custom Ear Plugs
Custom earplugs, including swim plugs and musician earplugs, protect your ears in different ways. Swim plugs, made from soft, water-resistant materials like silicone, prevent water from entering the ear, ideal for swimmers or those with ear sensitivities. Musician earplugs, equipped with special filters, reduce sound intensity without distorting music or speech, ensuring clear hearing while protecting against loud environments. Both types are custom-fitted for comfort and ear health.
